Identifying a need
In almost any emergency there is a need for equipment and supplies, to be readily available and accessible for rescuers, responders and victims.
The challenges in an emergency are:
•Determining and accessing the appropriate materials
•Responding rapidly
•Delivering materials to the location
•Providing a system that is standardized, adaptable and durable
The Parapac pod is designed to deliver emergency equipment, materials and supplies to a location in an efficient and effective delivery system. Each pod would contain a predetermined contents applicable to the emergency. High visibility marker tags identify the type of use and contents. Pods could be transported by a wide variety of methods and the pods can be converted into a stretcher, shelter, raft or work station. Parapac kits could be pre-sponsored and made available for local, regional or international emergency or disaster situations.

Pod are approximately 130 cms long x 80 cms wide and 55cms deep in two hinged segments The units are very strong, durable and lightweight laminated Styrofoam type material with all rounded edges handles quick connect attachments, lanyards, lights etc. Weight cpacity of 250 lbs per pod, capable of withstanding impact, water resistant, abrasion, etc.
Pods have large identification number and letters, reflectors , location transmitter. All basic units would contain G P S, lights, radio etc.first aid, water, survival food, and essential item packs located in fabric of net sleeves lining the units. |
